Alliance for Rural Electrification cooperates with Energy Storage China’s Microgrid Global Innovation Forum in Tangshan

Growing Opportunity in the Global Microgrid Market

Rapid industrialization and economic development across most parts of the world has sparked increased energy production, one of the key drivers of growth in the global microgrid industry. Governments across the world are engaging in sustainable energy development pursuits for long-term energy security. The use of microgriincorporating renewable energy sources for power generation is a viable means for energy security in the long-run while also following environmental regulations.

The global microgrid market size was valued at USD $3.76 billion in 2016, expected to reach USD $17.51 billion by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 17.0%.
The Alliance for Rural Electrification and Energy Storage China join forces in 2018
Energy Storage China (ESC) and Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) recently announced to co-organize a top level Microgrid Global Innovation Forum during ESC at Tangshan Southlake Convention and Exhibition Center, September 19-20 in 2018.
The ARE is the only business association in the world focusing on the development of off-grid renewable energy solutions for rural electrification in developing countries and emerging markets. ARE builds on the experience from over 110 member organisations worldwide which represent the complete value chain of renewable energy technologies. ESC is the most influential industry conference and exhibition in China’s energy storage industry - playing a significant role in informing and connecting industry professionals as the country develops a clean, efficient and reliable energy system. ESC focuses on technologies and applications for the energy storage industry, while ARE covers the entire renewable off-grid solutions value chain.
The Microgrid Global Innovation Forum aims to move the market forward, bringing together thought leaders, energy industry executives and project managers from around the world for intensive networking and information sharing concerning the design, implementation and operation of global microgrid systems. The emphasis is on maximizing the effective use of renewable and distributed energy resources, refining the business model for a range of microgrid applications, and sharing real-world microgrid case studies in both on-grid and remote environments. The forum is expected to draw more than 200 professional participants, including industry experts, policymakers, government officials and developers.
Based on ESC's Global Industry Network
The previous ESC attracted more than 500 leading domestic and foreign enterprises from 21 countries and regions. By utilizing its international network, ESC has become a driving force and key event in the energy storage industry,  gaining visibility and influence in Europe, North America, India, China and Japan.
ESC also helps China's energy storage industry to meet international standards. Under the theme of “Be Part of the Energy Revolution”, ESC 2018 will invite more than 6,000 professional visitors from 25 countries. Over 150 speakers will participate, including a wide range of industry leaders, policy makers and scholars, to discuss the latest sector developments.
